17 January 2016: Sysmex ventures into medical robot technology

Medicaroid Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; President: Yasuhiko Hashimoto; hereinafter, “Medicaroid”), a joint venture between Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu; hereinafter, “Sysmex”) and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (HQ: Kobe, Japan; President: Shigeru Murayama; hereinafter, “Kawasaki”), has established a subsidiary in the United States, MEDICAROID, INC., which commenced operations in January 2016. MEDICAROID, INC. will cooperate with Medicaroid to conduct medical robot technology development, marketing activities and regulatory affairs for approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with the aim of expanding business going forward.

02 December 2015: Sysmex Establishes New Subsidiary in Ghana

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) has established a new subsidiary in Ghana. Going forward, the Company aims to reinforce distributor support and expand its business in the markets of West and Central Africa.

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) and the National Cancer Center (Location: Tokyo, Japan; President: Tomomitsu Hotta) have opened a joint research laboratory within the National Cancer Center Hospital (Location: Tokyo, Japan; Director: Yasuaki Arai) to promote joint development in the field of cancer diagnosis.

14 November 2015: Sysmex Wins 20th “IR Grand Prix Award” from Japan Investor Relations Association

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) have been selected by the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA) to receive its 20th “IR Grand Prix Award.” This is the first time Sysmex has won the IR Grand Prix Award, for which companies become eligible after they have won the Best IR Award twice in the past. Past award successes for Sysmex include 2004 (IR Award for Small to Medium Capitalization Companies), 2006 (Best IR Award) and 2011 (Best IR Award).
